She has also created educational materials that encouraged individuals to have a healthy lifestyle.

After his medical studies, he successively held the positions of Primary Care Director and Therapeutic Management Director of People Living with AIDS. He arrived in Canada in 2012 and worked first in the pharmaceutical industry as pharmacovigilance specialist. Then he focused on his favorite field, the Health Promotion. He is currently working as a health promotion officer for Wellfort Community Health Services. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of various organizations. He is married and has three children.
Sababa Khan is a Registered Dietitian, a general member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and Dietitians of Canada. She has a medical degree from Pakistan and 7 years of clinical experience working as a family physician, predominantly with women and children. She completed her Master’s degree in Community Health and Nutrition in Pakistan. She immigrated to Canada in 2012 and studied at Ryerson University in Toronto to acquire the required theoretical and practical Canadian experience. She started working as a Registered Dietitian in 2017. As a Health Educator, at a Family Clinic in Scarborough, she provided nutrition education and support to clients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and anemia. Nutrition services were provided in both English and Urdu language. Sababa is currently volunteering with the Halton Breastfeeding Connection and provides support and information to the new mothers and their families to make informed decisions regarding breastfeeding. Her ideology is to translate the science of nutrition into client centered practical advice on food and lifestyle. She is committed to helping her clients, especially newcomers to better understand the Canadian food market and how they can lead a healthier, high quality lifestyle keeping their traditional food culture alive.

Now, she is working as a Registered Dietitian at Closing the gap health care centre (home care), Danforth Family Health Team and Pharmasanté Medical Clinic. She has work experience at Extendicare, Revera, Taunton Village Long Term Care homes and The Scarborough general hospital as the part of her training by the Ryerson University’s G. Raymond Chang School. She developed cultural diabetes food guide for TAIBU Community Health Center and received an appreciation letter for completing the project. Furthermore, she published articles about HIV and Nutrition in Canada, Malaysia and Iran. She was invited several times to Iranian National Media as a clinical dietitian speaker and also worked as a program coordinator and researcher in the field HIV, Nutrition and chronic disease in Malaysia. Her working experience in a multidisciplinary environment enables her to enhance her patients' quality of care. She has a vision in empowering people in prevention and self-management by applying the motto "TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF WITH MINDFUL EATING ". moreSamuel Yalew Adela is a Country Representative with Mastercard Foundation, a global foundation based in Toronto, Ontario. In this capacity, Samuel works with a variety of stakeholders to enable African youth, particularly young women, to secure dignified and fulfilling work. Before joining the Foundation, Samuel worked as Chief of Party, Deputy Director and Technical Advisor for flagship public health projects with John Snow Inc. in Ethiopia and Namibia. He also served as a behaviour change and community mobilization advisor with the Academy for Educational Development, in Ethiopia. Samuel has over twenty years of experience delivering health, education, and child rights programming, in Africa and North America. He started his career as a secondary school teacher and has a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Arts degrees, both from Ethiopia.
Dr. Kerrie Shaw is a bilingual family physician practicing in Mississauga, Ontario. Her practice focus is caring for new Canadians, newcomers and refugees including francophone families. Kerrie completed her medical studies at the University of Ottawa (Francophone program) and her family medicine residency at the University of Toronto. She also holds an MSc from University of Western Ontario and BSc from University of Guelph. Kerrie’s medical areas on interest include the social determinants of health and global health. She has completed the University of Toronto’s Global Health primer in family medicine.
Lilly Gonzalez is a medical financial administrator, working at a family health team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, she is responsible for billing and ensuring payment of services provided, for the Ontario Ministry of Health. Lilly has a background in pathology science degree and has worked within the health care industry since 1991. Lilly is passionate about promoting better health and wellness of vulnerable families by maximizing the use of financial resources to address the barriers to accessing health care services.
Padi Brown is a lawyer and founder of Canopy Law Firm. Padi has knowledge and experience in corporate law, real estate and wills. In addition to his law firm, Padi lends his knowledge and experience to major international financial institutions, supporting their financial crime compliance and anti-money laundering departments. Padi holds a political science degree from McMaster University, and a law degree from University of Guyana - supported by a certificate of qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation.
Irene Chung is a Registered Dietitian, with more than two decades experience in health and nutrition. Throughout her career, Irene has led innovative initiatives to effect greater social and health parity, noted by clients, peers, senior managers, board members, community leaders, and a national charities alike. Irene holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s research degree in Community Nutrition from the University of Western Ontario and Chinese University of Hong Kong, respectively. Her Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Services Management and Certificate in Project Management are from the University of Hong Kong and McGill University, respectively.

Patient Beya is a registered dietitian and founder and CEO of KUISHI SMART. Prior to this, Patient worked for various non-governmental organizations, implementing health and nutrition programs around the world. Patient is passionate about dietetics and nutrition and enjoys working with clients, particularly children and their families, to achieve optimal health and improve quality of life. He is experienced in clinical and public health and holds degrees in dietetics from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada and Institut Supérieur des Techniques Médicales de Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has also received a certificate of Nutrition and Health Emergency Project Management from Bioforce Institut in France. He holds a certificate from LEADS Canada in Health Care Reform from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.

Yvan is a dynamic person, who has worked with a number of non-profit organizations. He holds a bachelor degree in business management from Mount Kenya University. In May 2018, he opened a small company to supply goods and services in Rwanda. Yvan brings his experience in management, logistics and administration to the KUISHI SMART team.
